I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Vet4Pets today. My dog went in for a dental procedure and tooth extraction. After the extraction had been completed, the vet called to tell me that he had developed swollen eyes following the anaesthetic. He has had an anaesthetic before without this reaction, so naturally this was very worrying. What I found particularly upsetting was being told that if his eyes became worse outside their business hours, I would have to take him to an emergency veterinary hospital — potentially leaving me with another bill on top of the £495.23 I had already paid for today’s treatment. My dog developed this problem immediately following their procedure, yet I was left with the worry that if the reaction became worse after they closed, I could be facing additional emergency veterinary costs elsewhere. That is not the level of reassurance or aftercare I expected after paying nearly £500. The payment experience added to my disappointment. The bill was £495.23. I paid £495.30 in cash and wasn’t even offered or given the 7p change. I didn’t ask for it because 7p itself is obviously insignificant. It’s the principle — when a business is charging hundreds of pounds for veterinary treatment, you would expect them to automatically give a customer the correct change rather than simply keeping it. The whole experience has left me feeling that money is given far more attention than customer care and reassurance. Our dogs are not just animals to us — they are family. When something unexpected happens following a procedure, owners need reassurance, clear aftercare and confidence that their pet will be looked after. Unfortunately, today’s experience left me feeling exactly the opposite. Extremely disappointing.

All staff are so welcoming and my cat got seen very quickly and I was so happy with how I was treated. I would defanitly highly recommend this vets I got an appointment within an hour of my phone call.

Super helpful through treatment & with help submitting the insurance claim. Phoned a few times & everyone was really nice.

Always been happy with this vets until today! Our beautiful girl was booked/scheduled to be put to sleep this afternoon, unfortunately she needed seeing a lot sooner as she was in pain. Receptionist told my Dad “no one is available” understandable, therefore my Dad had to cancel the appointment as she needed urgent care. Receptionist then responded very rudely “I suppose I’ll cancel the appointment then” followed by a quick “bye” and the phone being put down. How rude! No compassion at all. Aren’t you suppose to be animal lovers? A simple “I’m sorry we can’t help” would have sufficed. We shan’t be returning and have gone to Pet Medics who went above and beyond.

Tried to charge me over £150 for my kittens just to have worming syrup you can get from pets at home for £30, and when I said I wernt paying they assumed I was on benefits and put the phone down on me not realising I have 2 other animals registered with them 🫣 needless to say il be using pet medics from now on. Unregister my pets and sort your attitude, rude receptionists but the vets are really nice its a shame really
