All the staff are absolutely fantastic at Walkden, I've been in with kittens and a dog and you can tell they really do care. The drop in a star is for the automated messages you get when you're on hold that just repeat on and on. After one round surly you could change to some generic hold music. I found myself waking up in the middle of the night talking about anal glands and nail clipping services.

Scruffles was thoroughly checked over at her health review. Whatever question we asked the vet it was answered with lots of information and in detail. If we asked for a specific thing to get checked over by the vet this wasnt too much trouble and we were given a lot of advice and information on that subject such as what we could do to help with scruffles arthritis in her back legs. The vet was very friendly and knowledgeable and put us at ease with our concerns about our fur baby. All the staff including reception staff seemed very pleasant and professional and we would highly recommend their services. We have been with petmedics for over 9 years now and wouldn’t go to any other vets. The waiting area was very clean and we were allowed to sit in the cat waiting area due to our dog not getting along with other dogs as there was already another dog in the dog waiting area. We would highly recommend petmedics to anyone and you will not be disappointed by their services

Can’t recommend pet medics enough (both the hospital and the smaller practice)- I have been there many of times over the years and They have always been brilliant with all of my pets but mainly my rabbits. I have to thank Adam mainly for helping diagnose one of my rabbits with a condition. The knowledge he has is incredible and nothing is ever to much. Thank you to all of the team for always caring and and giving excellent service 😊 ps anyone struggling to find a vets with rabbit knowledge this is your place to go 😊

We were referred to Pet Medics by our regular vet, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. From the start, the staff showed very little empathy, and the first topic of conversation seemed to be about money rather than our pet’s wellbeing. Communication between staff members was inconsistent while our cat was under their care, leaving us confused and frustrated. When we raised our concerns with Ben Dixon, who we understand is a senior vet, his response was defensive and dismissive rather than understanding. If this attitude comes from senior staff, it’s sadly unsurprising that it filters down through the team. What concerned us most was the lack of proper documentation — no scan images were taken, and we were simply told to take their word for the diagnosis. This level of incompetence is unacceptable, especially in a place trusted with the care of beloved pets. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Pet Medics.

Pet medics failed to diagnose a heart issue in time for our cat. When I left a negative review about my experience they removed it. We won't be using them again.
